Athens ⋅ Delphi ⋅ Kalambaka
Embark on an immersive 5-day journey through the heart of ancient Greece. Your adventure begins in Athens, where you'll witness the grandeur of the Golden Age by visiting the Acropolis, the Parthenon, and other historic landmarks. Continue on to the legendary site of Delphi to explore the ruins of the Sanctuary of Apollo, then travel through picturesque villages nestled in the mountains. The tour culminates with a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Meteora, a breathtaking landscape of unique rock formations topped with ancient monasteries. This exceptional journey seamlessly blends history, mythology, and natural beauty, offering an unforgettable glimpse into the soul of Greece.

Itinerary
DAY 1 Arrival Athens
Arrival in Athens. Our transfer will be waiting for you at the airport to take you to your hotel.
Overnight in Athens at Athens Avenue Hotel (4 star) or similar.

Day 2 Athens (B)
Athen's city tour starts from the Panathenaic Stadium, where the first Olympic Games of modern times were held in 1896. Continue and pass by the Temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian's Arch, the Parliament and the memorial to the Unknown Soldier, the Academy, the University, the National Library, the Constitution Square (Syntagma). On the Acropolis visit, the architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: The Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and finally "the harmony between material and spirit", the monument that "puts order in the mind", the Parthenon.
Overnight in Athens at Athens Atheneum Grand Hotel (4-star) or Golden Age Hotel (4-star) or similar.

Day 3 Delphi, Kalambaka (B, D)
Depart early in the morning for Delphi via Thebes, Levadia and the picturesque village of Arachova, on the slopes of Mount Parnassus, and arrive in Delphi, to visit the Archaeological Site. You will have the chance to visit the ruins of the Sanctuary of Apollo Pythios, and learn the story of this brave God's triumph over the dragon that guarded the "Omphalos". Visit the marble Treasury of the Athenians, built to store the rich offerings of grateful kings. Afterwards, you will proceed to the small picturesque city of Kalambaka, passing through beautiful villages and cities of Central Greece, all built according to the traditional local architecture.
Overnight in Kalambaka at Grand Meteora Hotel (4-star) or Amalia Hotel (4-star) or similar.

Day 4 Meteora (B)
After breakfast we will visit Meteora. Meteora are unique rock formations, raising high with Christian monasteries built at the top. It is truly fascinating to visit the interior part of them, but also enjoy the amazing views. Return to Athens via Trikala, Lamia, Thermopylae (short stop to see across the road the Leonida's Monument). Arrival in Athens early in the evening.
Overnight in Athens at Atheneum Grand Hotel (4-star) or similar.

Day 5 Departure Athens (B)
Transfer to the airport for departure. (B)

Notes:
The minimum group size for this tour is 2 passengers and a maximum group size of 50 passengers.
The minimum age to join this tour is 8 years old.
Minors below 18 years old will be accepted only if they are travelling with their parent or legal guardian.
Meteora Dress Code: To enter the monasteries of Meteora women will need to wear a long skirt, dress or sarong, it's not enough to keep the knees covered, so no trousers or shorts. Men must wear long pants. Sleeveless shirts are not allowed.
This tour is rated as moderate which involves some walking, stairs, and longer travel days, and is suitable for travelers with a reasonable level of fitness.

Greece Hotel Residence Tax. In Greece the Hellenic National Tourism Organization has decided on a Crisis Resilience to be applied on hotel accommodation from 01/01/2018. The fees applied will be 3* hotels €5 / 4* Hotels €10 / 5* Hotels € 15 per room, per night and are not included in the tour price which must be paid by the guests directly to the hotel before the end of the stay.
