1st Day: Arrival in Reykjavík

Upon arrival at Keflavik Airport, take the Flybus shuttle to your hotel in Reykjavík. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to explore the vibrant capital city at your leisure.

2nd Day: Volcano Crater, Fjords & Mountains

Depart from Reykjavík at 09:00. Travel along the scenic Hvalfjörður fjord to Borgarnes. Enjoy an easy hike at Grábrók volcano crater amidst a lava field. Visit Glaumbær turf house farm and folk museum. Continue through beautiful fjord landscapes to Akureyri, the capital of North Iceland, where you can explore the town in the evening.

3rd Day: The Capital of North Iceland, Lake Mývatn & Geothermal Baths

Explore Akureyri in the morning, enjoying views over Eyjafjörður fjord. Optional whale watching is available. Visit the powerful Goðafoss waterfall. Discover Lake Mývatn's unique geological formations and birdlife. End the day relaxing in the geothermal Mývatn Nature Baths.

4th Day: Lava Labyrinth, Hot Springs & Travel East

Explore the lava formations at Dimmuborgir. Visit the hot springs at Námaskarð. Travel through the uninhabited highlands to East Iceland, with an optional visit to Dettifoss waterfall (June to August).

5th Day: East Fjords, Glacier Lagoon & Diamond Beach

Travel through dramatic fjord landscapes and quaint fishing villages. Visit a stone and mineral collection. Experience Vatnajökull glacier and Jökulsárlón glacial lagoon, including a boat tour (May-September). Walk on Diamond Beach where icebergs wash ashore.

6th Day: Vatnajökull National Park & South Coast

View the southern part of Vatnajökull glacier and its national park. Experience the unique Icelandic Lava Show in Vík. Explore Reynisfjara black sand beach, Skógafoss, and Seljalandsfoss waterfalls.

7th Day: Icelandic Horses & Golden Circle

Visit Friðheimar to learn about Icelandic horses and geothermal greenhouses. Explore the Geysir geothermal area and Gullfoss waterfall. Visit Þingvellir National Park. Return to Reykjavík for a brief city tour.

8th Day: Departure

Transfer to Keflavik Airport via Flybus shuttle.
